Nrithya-Upahaar is an international festival of classical Indian dance curated by Upahaar School of Dance, held in London. The main purpose of the festival is to bring together local and international artists in order to preserve and promote classical dance forms. It started in 2013 and has been growing larger ever since. Artists come from within the country and all around the world to perform during these celebrations.

This year's festival (Oct 7th & 8th 2017) that will bring over two days some of the best artists in their field. Amongst them, will be the accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, Praveen Kumar, a disciple of Late Smt Narmada, Bangalore and Prof C.V. Chandrashekar, Chennai; Mohiniyattam artist Smitha Rajan, grand-daughter and disciple of the legendary doyen- Late Smt Kalamandalam Kalyanikutty Amma; Sreelakshmy Govardhanan, one of the foremost young talents in the field of Kuchipudi today, well-known Kathak artists from Pragav Dance Company- Shyam Dattani & Parbati Chaudhury; the popular Odissi artist Elena Catalano alongwith Maryam and Katie; and finally, Pallavi Anand, Anekha Pillai, Daniella Zak Varghese, Alisha Pillai, Mithu Sumeshkumar and Shalini Shivashankar from Upahaar School of Dance, who perform regularly in the UK and abroad.
